Here’s a great holiday service opportunity for you, your family, your friends, your office, etc. Help replenish the supply of hygiene kits for disaster areas. We’re collecting the contents for CWS hygiene kits which are sent to disaster areas in the U.S. and around the world. You may drop off any of the kit contents (see below) at Knox.
On Sunday, Dec. 10, 11 a.m. we’ll have a kit-assembly celebration in Fellowship Hall.
Contents of hygiene kits (please no substitutions!)
1 hand towel 15″x26″ to 16″x32″ (no micro fiber or dish towels)
1 washcloth
1 wide tooth comb
1 fingernail clipper
1 bath size bar of soap in the wrapper
1 toothbrush in the package
10 standard Band-aids
$2 per kit for shipping. Please write any checks to CWS.
CWS has shipped over 100,000 of these kits to disaster areas so far this year.
Crop Walk to Reduce Hunger – Nov. 5
CROP walks are neighbors walking together to raise money to take a stand against hunger in our world. Some 2,000 communities across the country take part each year. The Falls Church registration begins at 1:00 p.m. The walk begins 1:30 p.m. Link here to the CROP walk website

Service Opportunity -School Kits
We have an opportunity to assemble school kits for children in disaster areas around the world. Church World Service collects and distributes these kits wherever they are needed. If you would like to help sew bags, please contact the church office.
Servant Evangelism this Sunday, July 2
After worship this Sunday, July 2, weather permitting, fellowship time will be moved outside onto the front lawn of the church. We’ll be giving away free hot dogs and watermelon to everyone who stops by. This is one small way we can show God’s love.
Men of the Church Sunday – Father’s Day, June 18
Celebrate Men of the Church this Sunday in worship, followed by lunch. The men are bringing barbecue. Please bring a side dish to share. An offering will be taken in worship to support the MidAtlantic Presbyterian Men’s Kenya mission.
Free Coffee
We’ll be handing out free coffee and donuts in front of the church this Sunday, May 28, 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. Come join us in showing God’s love through a small act of kindness. Or just come and have a free cup of coffee.
