Examples of Community Services provided by Knox Volunteers
Food Pantry:

FCCS Food Pantry volunteers Karen and AnnetteThe Food Pantry is a part of the Falls Church Community Service Council (FCS) and is housed at Knox Church. Volunteers deliver food each weekday to persons in the greater Falls Church area that are referred by county welfare agencies and the clergy of churches.  We are an emergency "stop-gap" until long-term assistance can be acquired, or solutions found.  Each delivery consists of food for the preparation of meals for a week for the size of the family or individual.  Thanksgiving "baskets" are delivered with items for a traditional meal.

Clothes Closet:

Volunteers staff a clothes closet located at National Memorial Baptist Church as part of Falls Church Community Service Council. Those in need of clothing are usually referred by a social worker. Donations of seasonal clothing in good condition are welcome.
