Rev. William V. Hale, Pastor

Our church vision: Building on our strong faith,
energized by the possibilities God holds for us,
we covenant to work to spread TheWord,
to welcome all in a spirit of inclusion,
through a special focus on the generations under forty.
This is our vision! Amen.

As you prepare for worship, please read Luke 14:1, 7-14, page 1266.
Pray for the leaders of this service and those who worship with you.

*HYMN OF PRAISE - #2223
"They'll Know We Are Christians by Our Love"

*PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Unison)
Holy God, we do live in the joy and wonder of your love.
However, we find it so easy to be in disagreements. We take each
other so much for granted. So often we are tempted to cut the
ropes of love that bind us together. Other times we take life far
too much for granted. Help us to learn how to love each other
and restore within us the powerful cords of forgiveness and
compassion. Remind us of the joys and beauties of being alive in
Christ. Amen.

*ASSURANCE OF PARDON

*RESPONSE "The Gloria Patri" - (Tune #579)
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
