Our Youth Group is open to all students and friends in grades 6 to 12. We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday Evenings and start our meeting with dinner at 6:00 PM. The meeting will end at 7:30 PM so that you can still get home and finish that last minute homework.

Youth Group News:

The Knox Youth Group will be entering the new year with some fun activities on the calendar. First, there will be regular meetings on January 14 and January 28. The meetings will include planning for our upcoming February activities. The meeting on January 14 will begin at 6:00 p.m. and includes dinner. The meeting on January 28 will begin at 6:45 p.m. and will NOT include dinner.

We will be participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring on February 4. Stay tuned for information about this activity which supports the FCS Food Closet.

Mark your calendars!! Our second annual joint retreat with the Mount Pleasant UMC Youth Group will take place at Camp Hanover February 23-25. All youth in grades 6 to 12 are welcome to take part in this event.

Information regarding the retreat will be available from Susi Ennis after the January 14 meeting.

     On a saturday afternoon not too long ago , I organized an all-day rock concert in the fellowship hall featuring 7 local bands, and one on tour from Chicago. The concert lasted from around noon to around 9 pm, and featured all kinds of music from heavy metal to "ska" with trumpets, trombones, and saxophones. My band; Jinxed At Twelve, and Amanda Rice-Johnston's band; Boulevard, were two of the featured bands along with The Colour Blue, Seven Cents, Jonas, Tom's Little Brother, and others. The day was an all-around success, and drew an estimated 50-75 person crowd.

     Money was raised for the church, and canned goods were collected at the door for the food closet as well. I am currently in the process of promoting another concert in November, and any youth who want to hear some good music and have a good time should come check it out.

  Knox Youth Group is composed of two subgroups.  The Middle School Group is for students in grades 6-8.  The Senior High Group is for students in grades 9-12.

 Twice each month we alternate between Sunday evening  and Sunday after worship meetings.

 The groups plan a great mix of fun, mission work, pizza parties, Bible study and application and more fun.
