Food pantry and rental Assistance

Falls Church Community Service Council

What FCS does

The food pantry in our building belongs to the Falls Church Community Service Council (FCS), a coalition of local congregations founded in 1969. FCS gives about $400,000 a year in food and emergency rent help to families in the Falls Church area, so that a hard month doesn’t turn into losing a home.

Food is always delivered to the home by a volunteer. Groceries are available up to once a month. If you’d like to volunteer, visit fcswecare.org/volunteer/

Knox and FCS

FCS has its office at Knox. Our members deliver food, stock the pantry shelves and serve on the FCS board.

Get help or volunteer

If you need help with food or rent, please contact Coordinated Services Planning at 703-222-0880. As much of our funding comes directly from the Fairfax county, by agreement we use their social workers to help coordinate services between us and other agencies.

We are happy to help but CSP is your first step.

If you want to volunteer (usually by delivering groceries to clients), visit fcswecare.org/volunteer/.
