Who we are

A small church that loves its neighborhood

Our congregation

Knox is a congregation of about 50 members in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). A few families have been here for generations, and some of them grew up in the apartments across the street. We’re theologically moderate to progressive, and we like trying new things.

Our vision is to be a Christ-centered church: to love God will all our heart, mind, soul and strength and to love our neighbor. And that means loving our neighborhood especially.

Our neighbors

These days our neighborhood is mostly Spanish-speaking families with young kids. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me,” and we’ve taken him at his word. Our building now holds a preschool, an after-school reading program, Comunidad’s classes, and a food pantry run by the Falls Church Community Service Council. Iglesia de Sinai, a Spanish-speaking congregation, also worships here.

Leadership and staff

Knox is governed by its session, ruling elders elected by the congregation, who work alongside the pastor.
